New ‘Anarchy’ Trailer + Screencaps

If you watched Sons of Anarchy but sometimes thought, “Not enough Shakespeare,” then you’re in luck. Anarchy, the recently retitled film that was Cymbeline when it premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September, is a modern-day take on the Bard’s play about jealousy, love, and betrayal in the titular British king’s court.

In the film, Ed Harris plays the king of a drug-dealing biker gang, and his daughter’s unsanctioned romance with one of his top soldiers sets off the powder-keg that leads to tragedy. Dakota Johnson and Penn Badgley play the young couple, Imogen and Posthumus, and Ethan Hawke—who’s updated Shakespeare before, with 2000’s Hamlet—plays Iachimo, the treacherous cad who bets Posthumus that he can seduce Imogen.

Written and directed by Michael Almereyda (Hamlet), Anarchy opens in theaters and VOD on March 13. Watch the Trailer Here.

Vanity Fair March 2014

Dakota appeared in the Vanities opener forVanity Fair Magazine. The brunette bombshell, who will be featured in the March 2014 issue of the magazine, gives a prim and proper look for the shoot, hinting that she’s channeling her inner Anastasia Steele, pre-Christian Grey.

“A lot of getting into the character’s head, in Ana’s headspace before she meets Christian, so it’s a lot of reading, which I love,” Johnson told the mag on preparing for the anticipated film. “She’s an English major, so that’s kinda boring.”

Regardless, Dakota says shooting the film withJamie Dornanand the rest of the cast and crew has been very positive. “It’s been a very smooth and fun and creative experience. I think going into something like this, you kind of have fears of what it could be like and none of those fears are happening. We all get along really well and the crew’s amazing. We’re just all trying to make this project the best it can be.”

And fans are excitedly counting down the days untilE L James’ erotica adaptation hits the big screen (Feb. 13, 2015, in case you forgot). Johnson joked about the fan base, saying, “I wonder if it will be, like, 40-year-old moms, which I am cool with. I love moms.”

We have added x screencaps from this video, plus the Vanities scan itself to the galleries … enjoy.
