The 56-year-old actress has slammed Twitter trolls who sent nasty messages regarding the news that Dakota Johnson will be playing Anastasia Steele in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

In response to one of the nastier tweets, Griffith wrote: “Wow! You�re quite the b**** aren�t you? #dontmesswithmama.”

Earlier on, she’d expressed how proud she was by tweeting: “My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Anna Steele in 50 Shades!!! Look out world! Here she comes!!! #proudmama.”

The news was announced on Monday, when the author of the erotic books, E.L. James, revealed that Johnson would play shy student Ana and that Charlie Hunnam would take on the role of Christian Grey.

“I don�t think Dakota is good for it�.. But Charlie would be perfect,” one fan wrote on Facebook, while another said: “Hunnam could be a decent Grey with a little makeover. But who in the heck thought Johnson could make a beautiful Anastasia? I�m all of sudden not as interested in seeing this movie.”

The 23-year-old blonde has previously starred in films such as ’21 Jump Street’ and ‘The Five Year Engagement.’

The film adaptation of ’50 Shades of Grey’ is expected to be released some time next year.

Dakota Johnson has landed one of the most hyped-up roles in movieland but the actress’ boyfriend is said to be “nervous” about her lead in the saucy big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

23-year-old Dakota, who previously appeared as Justin Timberlake’s bed buddy in The Social Network, was recently confirmed as Ana Steele by Fifty Shades author EL James, with Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam taking on the role of Mr Grey.

But whilst she’s been busy having meetings with James and and prepping for her biggest role yet, Dakota’s long-term�love�is reportedly getting anxious about just what the film role will involve.�Dakota’s beau Jordan Masterson, who’s been dating the actress for about a year, is said to be feeling uncomfortable about his�girlfriend�shooting explicit scenes. “Jordan is delighted for Dakota in terms of her career, but he’s nervous about all the ‘sex’ involved in the role,” a source has told Grazia.

Perhaps Jordan should�have a chat�with Charlie’s girlfriend, Morgana McNelis who seems to be much more comfortable with the raunchy film.�Charlie, who has already got his kit off countless times in his TV hits Queer as Folk and Sons of Anarchy, confirmed in an interview with�HollywoodLife.com�last month that his lady is very much on board.�The 33-year-old admits it will be difficult for Morgana but believes it will bring them closer together.

�She�s required to share parts of me that she wouldn�t really want to share, so of course with the nature of this role that�s going to be times ten,� he said.
