“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson talks about getting cast in the film version of the international bestseller.

It’s safe to assume there will be a Fifty Shades of Grey sketch or two on the next new installment of Saturday Night Live. Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele in the sexy film, is set to host the NBC sketch show’s Feb. 28 episode. She made the announcement herself in a Q&A segment with Jerry Seinfeld during SNL’s 40th anniversary special.
Fifty Shades, the film adaptation of EL James’ erotic novel in which Johnson stars opposite Jamie Dornan, set the Valentine’s Day weekend box office on fire. Johnson has a background in comedy, having previously starred on the Fox sitcom Ben and Kate.
This will mark Johnson’s first time hosting the show, although she will be able to get plenty of pointers from her mom, actress Melanie Griffith, who hosted in 1988.
A musical guest has not yet been announced.
Last night Dakota attended the SNL 40th Anniversary Celebration at Rockefeller Plaza on February 15, 2015 in New York City.
It has been confirmed that Dakota Johnson, along side with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jennifer Lopez and Margot Robbie will present at Oscars on February 22, 2015.
On Thursday 12th February it is confined that Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will hit the red carpet in Londons prestigious Leicester Square for the UK Premiere. Talent arrives from 5.45pm but if you want to see the stars, its worth going early to get a good spot!
